HEALTH INSURANCE EXCHANGE INSURANCE PLANS
This notice details the status of Health Insurance Exchange insurance plans in our service area. The Exchange was established by the Affordable Care Act, commonly referred to as "Obamacare".
As of January 1st, 2015, Mary Rutan Hospital is participating in the Health Insurance Exchange (OBAMACARE) products offered in this region of Ohio through Medical Mutual of Ohio (“MMO”) and InHealth. Subject to further changes, we are also participating in Assurant.
Mary Rutan Hospital is a network participant for hospital services and we are also participating in these plans with respect to the various ambulatory clinics owned by Mary Rutan Hospital: including urology; internal medicine; obstetrics & gynecology; ear, nose & throat; orthopedics; surgery; physical rehabilitation; and pediatrics.
Please note, Mary Rutan Hospital will be an out-of-network provider for any other Exchange insurance plan for any services which are not considered emergency services. Out-of-network services will be considered self-pay and will be billed to the patient.
This information relates only to insurance products sold through the Exchange. Mary Rutan Hospital continues to participate in many health care plans (such as, group or individual commercial health plans and Medicare Advantage plans) which are not sold or purchased through the Exchange.
