Mary Rutan Hospital Named Best In Nation

September 13, 2016 – Mary Rutan Hospital continues to attract national attention with the recent accolade as one of iVantage Health Analytics’ Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals in the United States.

iVantage Health Analytics, which provides a fully integrated web-based business intelligence platform for strategic planning, payment optimization and performance benchmarking, recently selected Mary Rutan Hospital to its 2016 Top 100 Rural and Community Hospitals list. Mary Rutan Hospital was one of only seven hospitals in the state of Ohio to make the Top 100.

“We are honored by this elite recognition,” said Mandy Goble, Mary Rutan Hospital’s president and CEO.  “Our expert physicians and experienced staff demonstrate every day their commitment to improve the lives of the patients who entrust us with their care. That focus drives them to constantly look for ways to strengthen our quality of care and reinforce that our patients can rely on their community hospital when they need us.”

Mary Rutan Hospital’s Top 100 national ranking was derived from the results of iVantage’s Hospital Strength INDEX®. This comprehensive evaluation took into account more than 70 performance metrics including quality, outcomes, patient satisfaction, affordability, population risk and efficiency.

The ratings are based on publicly available data sources, including Medicare cost reports, Medicare claims data, Medicare’s Hospital Compare quality reviews and indicators from the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality, as well as other proprietary data. By achieving this distinction, Mary Rutan Hospital is recognized as a top performer, excelling in managing risk, achieving higher quality, securing better outcomes, increasing satisfaction, and operating more efficiently than their peers.

“Our hospital is honored to play an integral role in shaping the quality of life in the communities we serve by not only assisting people when they are sick but also putting them on the path to long-term health,” said Goble “We appreciate the community’s ongoing support and are pleased to be the main resource for quality care with our extensive range of services offered at the local level.”

The honors from iVantage are the most recent in a long list of achievements for Mary Rutan Hospital. Earlier this year, Mary Rutan Hospital received a top ranking for achieving one of the highest Value-Based Purchasing scores in the State of Ohio. And they were among an elite group of hospitals to achieve Healthgrades’ Outstanding Patient Experience Award, not just once but for the third straight year.
